Dr Linlan Huang is a Lecturer in Management, Associate Course Leader for MSc Management, and PhD Supervisor at Birmingham City University. He is a cross-disciplinary management scholar working at the intersection of sustainability, digital transformation, diaspora enterprise, and business education. His teaching, research and professional engagement explore how organisations and migrant enterprises build resilient, inclusive and future-oriented pathways to sustainable growth.
At Birmingham City University, Linlan teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, oversees the quality and operation of the MSc Management course, and contributes to postgraduate research supervision and PhD progression review. His work brings together low-carbon transition, circular economy, AI-enabled learning, and digital empowerment, connecting management scholarship with contemporary organisational and societal challenges.
Linlan has established a sustained international track record of research outputs, secured a number of grants and awards, and contributed to academic, industry and policy-related initiatives in the UK and China. He has also provided professional service to leading academic communities, including the Academy of International Business, Academy of Management, and British Academy of Management. Before joining Birmingham City University, he was Bayes Fellow in Management at Bayes Business School, City St George’s, University of London.
