Sharda Murria

Senior Lecturer in Policing & Criminology, Course Leader for Policing

Sharda Murria teaches Criminology and Policing. She has a keen interest in policing and the criminal justice system and is passionate about delivering ‘real world impact’.

Dr. Aidan O’Sullivan got his first degree, a 1:1 joint-honours in Sociology and Philosophy, from the University College of Cork in the Republic of Ireland in 2006. He would go onto to receive the same mark for his Masters in Sociology at the same institution in 2008.

Dr Sarah Pemberton

Associate Professor - Criminology

Having initially studied Social Policy as an undergraduate Sarah became immersed in the study of the social world, this served as the foundation for an unrelenting interest in social research which she pursues to this day.

Jay Rowe

Doctoral researcher

Jay's research topic is 'Understanding Changing Voter Attitudes and Perceptions toward Brexit', with respondents drawn from across the social spectrum. This is in order to gain insight into the broad range of views concerning Brexit.

Steve Wadley spent 8 years as an Authorised Firearms Officer with the Ministry of Defence Police (MDP) before making the transition to a lecturer within the FE/HE sector.

Dr Rebecca Wheeler-Mundy

Becky research focuses on how psychology (particularly cognitive and social psychological principles) can be applied to real life issues. This work often focuses on eyewitness memory or investigative interviewing, but is also of value in other applied contexts (e.g. education).
