Auditions and interviews
If your application is successful, you will be invited to an audition, an interview or both, depending on the course you've applied for.
Acting courses
For the majority of our Acting courses, auditioning is a two-stage process - Initial and Recall. Find out more about what the auditions will involve for each course and how you can prepare.

Audition guidanceFees and fee waivers
Fees must be paid prior to audition (where fees are applicable) and cover the entire audition process. For BA Acting and MA Acting there is a one-off UCAS Conservatoires application fee of £34.50 payable to UCAS on submission of application form. In addition, a non-refundable audition fee of £38 is payable to the Conservatoire; this is collected through the UCAS system.
For Applied Theatre and Stage Management, which are applied for through the mainstream UCAS system, there is a one-off application fee payable to UCAS on submission of an application form. For both a single course choice and for two to five choices, the cost will be £34.50. There is no additional audition fee payable to the Conservatoire for these courses.

On submitting your application and paying the fee you will receive an acknowledgement which will also give you details of the how to record and submit your initial audition recording via YouTube.
You should present your audition in English to camera and perform them as you would in a live audition.
For guidance on what to perform in your audition recording, please see the guidance for the individual course you are applying for.
