The first half will feature some smaller chamber ensembles. These include Ella Michell (pictured below) performing Claude Arrieu's Flute Concerto.
Oscar Böhme’s Trumpet Concerto shines with late-Romantic warmth and soaring melodies, lyrical tenderness, and brilliant fanfares that blend into a heartfelt showcase of the trumpet’s nobility performed tonight by 2024 Alfred Corfield Trumpet Prize winner, Matthew Osbourne (pictured above).
