Tim Berne brings a new trio to Birmingham featuring himself on alto saxophone, Gregg Belisle-Chi on guitar and Tom Rainey on drums; this is the trio that recorded the incredible Yikes Too album.
The music builds on the chemistry between Berne's high energy playing on the alto and Belisle-Chi's expansive playing on the electric guitar.
Drummer Tom Rainey is quoted in the All About Jazz review as not just maintaining the pulse, but 'fragments it and then reconstructs it' to suit the flow of the music.
