Domonkos Csabay piano
Chopin Preludes
This recital of Chopin Preludes – miniatures with infinite variety, beauty and virtuosity – is played by Domonkos Csabay, a UK-based Hungarian concert pianist, chamber musician and accompanist. Domonkos was First Prize winner of the 2016 Birmingham International Piano Competition and is a graduate of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where he studied with Pascal Nemirovski and John Thwaites. He receives an Honorary RBC Award on 19 June.
Domonkos has appeared at prestigious UK venues such as Town Hall and Symphony Hall in Birmingham and Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, and collaborated with renowned artists and companies such as the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Longborough Festival Opera. He has made concerto appearances with the Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra and Oxford Sinfonia among others, and has been invited to events such as Wye Valley Chamber Music Festival and the Budapest Spring Festival.
